Dragons—Fiction or Forgotten Friends?

Let’s face it: Dragons have had a bad rap. In movies and books, they are typically the ‘bad guys’—fire-breathing, fierce, annihilating, and causing chaos and ruin. Even many children’s books portray dragons as flying in and slaying kingdoms. Unicorns have been written off as fictional creatures, often with a condescending statement like, “Do you think life is all sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns?”

It is socially acceptable for children to believe in dragons, fairies, unicorns, and other ‘mythical’ creatures; however, not so for adults. These beings have been relegated to myths and children’s stories where ‘imagination’ is allowed. 

And yet, there are adults who hold on to their imagination, draw upon inspiration, and have a broader faith in both the seen and unseen.

There are many other ‘mythical’ beings, such as Mermaids, Griffins (a hybrid of a lion and an eagle), Phoenixes, Sphinxes, Chimeras, Loch Ness Monsters, and many more. There are also more human-like beings such as Fairies, Pixies, Elves, Gnomes, Leprechauns, Giants, Sasquatch, Centaurs (half-human, half-horse), Minotaurs (half-man, half-bull), Fauns (half-man, half-goat), and others that we reviewed in the last Monthly Spiritual Topic. For the rest of this topic, we will focus primarily on dragons.

Criamos novos tópicos espirituais todos os meses. Os coordenadores usam esses tópicos para estimular as discussões e dar aos membros a oportunidade de falar sobre situações da vida real e compartilhar percepções, ideias e estratégias. Os tópicos espirituais são postados na plataforma interna de conexão social do CC, onde membros de todo o mundo conversam e compartilham pensamentos pessoais. Esses tópicos foram criados para oferecer pontos de discussão sobre autoconhecimento e desenvolvimento espiritual para permitir e capacitar cada um de nós a nos tornarmos a melhor versão de quem somos!

Objetivos dos MSTs

Todos nós estamos em uma jornada única para crescer e encontrar mais significado, propósito e alegria na vida. Para fazer isso, é necessário um foco profundo em nosso eu interior. Como afirmou o poeta persa do século XIII, Rumi, "Tudo no universo está dentro de você. Peça tudo a você mesmo".

Com esse objetivo, os Tópicos Espirituais Mensais foram criados para ajudar os membros:

  • Conhecer melhor a si mesmo (autorrealização)
  • Conectar-se com sua sabedoria interior
  • Desenvolver foco e intenção conscientes
  • Viver de um espaço centrado no coração
  • Expressar compaixão e estar a serviço de todos
  • Alinhar-se com seu Eu Superior/Divino
  • Manifestar mudanças positivas para si e para o coletivo

Objetivos dos MSTs

O processo do Tópico Espiritual Mensal foi criado para atender a dois objetivos principais: Oferecer diálogo e educação espiritual para os membros e fornecer aos Coordenadores materiais relevantes sobre o tópico para facilitar discussões envolventes com os membros. Isso economiza tempo para os Coordenadores, que não precisam mais pesquisar tópicos e encontrar materiais para apresentar. Também dá aos coordenadores a oportunidade de desenvolver ainda mais suas habilidades de facilitação.
